PeakLog respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information PeakLog collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Information We Collect
PeakLog may store the following information that you choose to add or generate while using the app:
- Peak lists you track
- Peaks you mark as completed
- Completion dates
- Notes
- Photos you attach to peaks
- Profile name
- Profile photo
- Bio
- Unit preferences
- Subscription or purchase status
- Trial status
- Approximate or precise location, if you grant location permission
How We Use Information
PeakLog uses this information to provide app functionality, including:
- Tracking your peakbagging progress
- Showing completed and incomplete peaks
- Displaying nearby peaks on the map
- Saving notes and photos
- Syncing your data with iCloud
- Managing subscription, trial, and lifetime access
- Remembering app preferences such as measurement units
Location Information
PeakLog may request access to your location to show nearby peaks and center the map near you.
Your location is used for app functionality only. PeakLog does not sell your location data, use it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites.
You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Photos
PeakLog may request access to your photo library so you can attach photos to completed peaks or choose a profile photo.
Photos are used only for features you choose to use. PeakLog does not access photos unless you grant permission or select photos through Apple’s photo picker.
You can deny or revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings.
iCloud Sync
PeakLog uses Apple iCloud/CloudKit to sync your app data across your Apple devices when iCloud is available.
Data synced through iCloud is stored and handled by Apple under Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy practices. PeakLog does not operate its own external server for syncing your app data.
Purchases and Subscriptions
PeakLog uses Apple’s App Store purchase system to process subscriptions and lifetime access purchases.
PeakLog can see whether you have an active subscription, lifetime purchase, or trial access, but payment processing is handled by Apple. PeakLog does not collect or store your credit card information.
Third Parties
PeakLog uses Apple services such as iCloud, CloudKit, MapKit, Photos, Location Services, and StoreKit to provide app functionality.
PeakLog does not sell your personal information. PeakLog does not use third-party advertising networks or track you across other apps and websites.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your PeakLog data remains stored on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud, unless you delete it.
You can reset your user data from within the app’s settings. Resetting user data deletes your saved PeakLog progress, notes, profile information, and photos stored by the app.
You may also delete the app from your device or manage iCloud data through your Apple account settings.
Your Choices
You can:
- Grant or deny location permission
- Grant or deny photo access
- Change measurement units
- Reset your user data in the app
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings
- Delete the app from your device
Children’s Privacy
PeakLog is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
